Llama Naturals Built a Navigation That Reflects How People Shop

When BARREL redesigned the site for Llama Naturals, one of the key areas of focus was how customers move through the site, starting with the navigation.

After years of studying user behavior and auditing brand experiences, we’ve seen that the menu is one of the first things people look at when they land on a site, especially on mobile. And on mobile, space is limited. You have just a few seconds to show what the brand is about and help customers get to what they want fast.

For Llama, it's all about how people actually shop.

Some look by audience, like kids or adults.

Others by benefit, like immune support or focus.

And some care most about ingredients, what’s inside.

We designed the navigation to make those paths clear from the get-go. It’s not just about organization, though. It’s about signaling what the brand stands for and reducing the number of clicks it takes to get to a product.

Llama started as a kids brand, and their new navigation is a simple way to show that they’ve grown beyond that.

Your navigation might seem like a small detail, but it’s one of the simplest ways to improve the customer experience and tell your story at the same time.
