I started this newsletter, Borrowed, Learned, & Thought, in 2020 to regularly make time to reflect on my life and work experiences, ideas, and experiments.
I thought making a weekly commitment to write might foster personal growth, development, and deeper thinking. By sharing these experiences, I hoped to open up new conversations, learn, and maybe help someone else find their way with a current challenge or idea.
Over the last three years, the format of the newsletter has evolved, but its core purpose remains unchanged. In the beginning, I would write just a paragraph or two — but these days, each edition features a borrowed quote or excerpt, a short essay on a personal experience or idea, and concludes with a thought starter. I also include e-commerce insights and highlight a song that resonated with me (follow the playlist here).
The process of writing this newsletter has brought immense value to my life. It always feels nice to hear that others have found value in its content, too.
If you're curious or want to follow along, you can sign up for the newsletter or explore past editions below. Please note that the posts may not encompass all the content shared each week.
Thank you for reading,
Lucas
